Insurance company with good reputation?

Postby gonzo13 » Wed Jun 04, 2008 3:37 pm

I want to change insurers and I was wondering if you can recommend an insurance company with good reputation for claims for homeowners?

I am with Presidents Choice right now - both my car and home insurance are with them. They have good rates but I don't know how good they are with claims.

Don't go with RBC Insurance- they have terrible customer service and I was almost sent to collection agency because they didn't pay the hospital bill on time. I was visiting friends in US and my son has to go to ER. The bill was for $200.00 only

Thanks I've heard that RBC are no good too. A friend of mine recommended me TD Insurance, any thoughts?

I have nothing but good experience with RBC Insurance. They offer competitive insurance rates, and I never had problem with them. I usualy use them for travel insurance as well.

I use TD Insurance for my home insurance. I hope I would never make a claim :).
